Red Just Say No ButtonHi. My name is Scott (Schroeder) and I am addicted to frappuccinos. It has been approximately 26 hours since I last had a frappuccino. As I try and slim down my much over-fed figure, I have decided to confront my addiction and attempt to eliminate those delicious frappuccinos that I rush to consume on a daily basis. Certainly no easy task as their taste alone has me buzzed from the first sip, not even mentioning the presumed energy burst that is delivered through the caffeine contents. Regardless, I am making an effort to reduce these daily caffeine dessert treats, each weighing in at approximately $5 and 400 calories a pop.

And, to note, it’s not the caffeine that I am necessarily casting judgment on (as I still plan to continue sipping on a substantial amount of tea) for, similar to Ted Murphy’s comment in his diet-inspiring post, Fat Kid Needs to Get in Shape, it’s not the caffeine that is truly bad, it’s the (fat and calorie bearing) additives that we consume along with our caffeine that are truly bad. For Ted, it’s vanilla latte; for me, it’s mocha or cafe vanilla frappuccino. In addition to weaning off of these deliciously convenient blended coffees, I am also trying to get back into a more healthy eating and exercise schedule - I’ll keep it posted! One day at a time, people :)
