Just when you thought Dogster (and Catster) had all of the basics for your furry friends covered, ZooToo launches live with a full line of resources catered specifically for you and your best friend(s). With the abundance of user generated content, services and movements, ZooToo has that community feel of Craigslist, Facebook and Ning combined into one, pet zoo community. Perhaps my favorite feature (thus far) from ZooToo is the ability to conveniently find pet-friendly hotels, all of which are pin pointed to their exact locations across Google Maps. Outside of the fancy pet-friendly hotel finder, the list of ZooToo tools goes on and on and on. Take, for instance, the journals section filled with blog like content containing information regarding pet adoptions, behavior & training, breeding, food & treats, health & wellness, legislation, pet services, pet products, travel and much much more.
And then there’s the answers section (similar to Yahoo! Answers) where pet owners can post questions for other pet owners/experts to post answers to; the classifieds section for finding lost pets, pet service providers, pet related jobs and the like; the events section with listings of adoption events, spay/neuter clinic events, vaccination clinic events, pet shows and many other events relevant to both pets and pet owners; the groups section for specific pets and their respective pet owners to better connect and network (or should I say “petwork”); and a few other resourceful sections, certainly worth mentioning but, I think you get the point. Definitely a great (social media) platform whereby pet lovers all around the globe can unite with one another, share with one another and learn with one another while improving the lives of pets and their owners as a whole.
